We strongly support greater alignment between the Neighbourhood Plan and The Mersey Forest Plan and its accompanying Tree Atlas. We recommend: setting local tree cover targets, aspiring to the 3:30:300 principle for trees in settlements, and targeting tree planting and enhancing green infrastructure, public spaces, and rights of way to benefit climate resilience, biodiversity, health, air quality and flood management. Please refer to The Mersey Forest Plan, Tree Atlas, and Local Nature Recovery Strategy to guide planting, habitat enhancement and to enable funding opportunities through planning and partnership working. We have attached a pdf with detailed comments.
