Recent reports indicate that the bid to have the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge recognised as a National Landscape (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) has been temporarily suspended. According to Natural England, this pause is linked to reductions in government funding. As a result, there is currently no requirement for planning policy to consider this designation.
