I&O_5738
Hough Green Residents’ Association (HGRA) believes that a very important factor which will bring tremendous benefit to the Chester area is the provision of a third river crossing. The present two crossings were built long before the advent of motorised road vehicles and are inadequate for the present traffic load at peak periods and especially when there is an issue with one of the present crossings. These shortcomings have long been recognised and led to the proposal for the “Western Relief Road” as a third river crossing. HGRA believes that a good infrastructure is essential in achieving growth in housing – particularly south of the river - employment etc. In addition, a third river crossing would improve the quality of life for the residents in the area.
