With layperson’s knowledge - support the cautious approach to hydrogen and carbon capture. Policy should: - Explicitly favour green hydrogen and only allow blue hydrogen where carbon capture is proven effective and permanent. - Reject grey hydrogen as incompatible with net zero. - Require strict environmental safeguards for brine or cavern storage, including water resource protection. - Ensure carbon capture schemes are integrated with local industrial emitters to maximise efficiency.
