Lower threshold requirement for rural areas must be retained. Many rural areas have higher than average house prices and higher living costs. Which means that more affordable housing doesn’t compromise viability

Yes Health impact assessment needs to consider the design of open green space on larger developments, and plan for their management, to maximise health of all residents (not only the new houses), by making the green space usable by the community. Being outside, physical exercise, increasing contacts with other residents, volunteering, and contributing to safer and more enjoyable public spaces, and community pride, can all benefit from this. It should also consider whether hte location of the new green space will be a benefit for other residents - ie visible, accessible etc.

Agree with the policy. In addition, ensure that the design open green space on larger developments, and plan for their management, to maximise health of all residents (not only the new houses), by making the green space usable by the community. Being outside, physical exercise, increasing contacts with other residents, volunteering, and contributing to safer and more enjoyable public spaces, and community pride, can all benefit from this. It should also consider whether hte location of the new green space will be a benefit for other residents - ie visible, accessible etc. Contribution must be on site. The development targets are too high for this plan period to allow any sizeable development to use the whole site for housing. An off-site contribution could not be spent locally to achieve a suitable amenity, due to the large number of other sites earmarked for development.
